Iron
oxides also referred to as “rail head dust” or “ferric
oxide” consists of tiny metallic particles that adhere to
vehicle surfaces. This type of overspray damage occurs in industrial
environments adjacent to factories, and railroads along with sandblasting
and mining operations. Without proper removal, this contaminant’s
abrasive nature can cause extensive scratching to a vehicle’s
finish. Furthermore, if not removed in a timely manner, “rail
dust” will cause permanent rust stains.
Sandblasting operations produce “spent abrasive” material
which can be removed using our hand polishing procedures. The processes
used for iron oxide removal, will neutralize any threat of rust
penetration and restore the vehicle’s finish to its original
state.
